A 25,000-acre sanctuary for orphaned elephants in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, was the site of “Never Forget I Love You” by Annie Ballantine, CPP. “Whenever there is a group of animals I always find myself drawn to the mothers with babies,” Ballantine says. “On this occasion there was a group of about 10 elephants. This particular baby elephant was a bit unsure and kept hanging around the mother for comfort. I felt that this moment where the mother and baby came together captured the love and comfort that the mother was giving to the baby.” Artful Paws Photography is based in Fairfax, Virginia, and specializes in pet and animal portraiture.
