Francie Baltazar Stonestreet, M.Photog.Cr., CPP, made “The Count’s Bride” at the end of a bridal portrait session. “We had finished the session and packed up to go home when I saw the shimmer of the chandelier in the woods,” she says. “At that moment I could see the image in my mind.” She explained it to the bride, who agreed, and they carried the settee out to the woods. POST-CAPTURE: Stonestreet used Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop CC, adding only candle flames in post. She achieved the nighttime effect with layers of varying hues of blue and blending in soft light and multiply modes.
